Product Description: A beautiful companion piece to Sea Trinkets 1, Shore's Treasure 1 is a fine art print of a Chamelea gallina, commonly known as the Striped Venus clam, and easily identifiable by its delicate size and distinctive vertical striping. In this original work on textured paper, five clam shells are arranged in a style that recalls the early 19th century scientific illustrations of James Sowerby. Relying upon a neutral color palette of beige and eggshell, expert shading in a stone gray follows along the rounded surface and edges of each shell, offering a sense of depth and texture to the bivalve's horizontal grooving and lightly curved form.
